This blog is where I will update my most recent photos along with random bits from my life. It is a casual place to get to know each other, so let me introduce myself. I’m a recent Biochemistry & Microbiology graduate, enthusiastically pushing the boundaries of scientific research. I live in Phoenix Arizona, and travel as often as I can, to explore diverse landscapes and cultures. At any given moment I’m snapping away with my Canon Rebel, feeding my hobby and passion for art.

When I was in the 7th grade I was shown a picture of Monet’s Gare St-Lazare. I was instantly enchanted with the idea that a paintbrush could capture the complexity of light falling on steam. Today, I continue to challenge my ideas of what a paintbrush can do. -
Design
Design marries aesthetic beauty with systematic usefulness, making the passion, ideals and creativity of art accessible to everyday life. It was a natural path for my artistic drive and scientific curiosity to take.

My Equipment & Process
I currently shoot with a Canon rebel, but my first DSLR camera was a Nikon D40. I firmly believe that the photograph is not defined by the camera you use, and happily enjoy using both!
I’m a fan of both natural and controlled lighting. I get really fired up when I see a great highlight or a mysterious shadow. As a photographer, light is my best tool to help me tell a moving story.
I’m a huge fan of the Adobe suite, and I’m addicted to Lightroom.
This varies based on the project. For most of my client work, I Photoshop minimally. I feel it’s more important to capture the moment and personalities than the “most photographically correct” image.
For concept and artistic work I’ve been known to lay it on heavy. I’m always pushing the boundaries of perception, imagination and reality.
